Last year, I learned of an event benefiting children with autism in Wesley Chapel, Florida. It is called Sensitive Santa, and gives autistic children a chance to meet Santa in a less-stimulating environment, (you know, not in the crowded insanity of normal mall hours). I thought it was such a great idea, that i called up & emailed the mall in my hometown to see if they would do something like this in Texas. I spoke to the media dept. quite a lot last year, and have just recently emailed them to see if they are pursing this. I think it is a great thing & urge all of you to email your local mall & pitch this idea. I have one cousin with autism, and know several children that would love to meet Santa, but just aren't able to in the normal mall setting. Below is this year's link for the Tampa area if you are interested in learning more. Merry Christmas!
