So I have a tortoise who I got for my birthday in October. He's a Russian I think or Herman? He is shedding though? Like on his legs and inside his shell? Is this normal? Everyone I ask says they don't know if they shed at all? Don't all reptiles shed when they grow? He looks bigger. Thanks.

The tortoise on the profile pic is a russian tortoise. Some shedding on the legs, the head etc. is normal, but tortoises shed in patches, not all at once like a snake. Is the skin underneath dry? Excessive shedding could also indicate a problem, sepecially if the skin underneath is wet. Maybe you could post some pictures?
