Shell Changes

Not sure if i should be concerned so any advice is appreciated.
The first pic is his shell mid March this year. Second pic is today. It's changed from a lovely dark pattern to very patchy almost pale green patches in a couple of months. He's eating, pooping, doing everything he should. Sunshine wherever possible and UV for dull days. Is it normal for his shell to change like this? Thanks.

Personally I don’t know much about Russian tortoise which I think that’s what he/she is I can recommend you to a member who does talk to him his name is…

One pic is in the sun and the other is in the shade. Hard to make a comparison that way. I really don't see any difference, and the shell looks fine in both pics.

Roy is a spur thighed. I was just looking for advice as to whether their shells do change colour. A colleague tells me they can alter and not to worry. I'll take his advice I guess.

Yes they can change colour. Someone could probably explain the mechanics behind it but that someone isn't me 😅
