Shell rot question

When keeping hatchlings or juveniles, does anyone apply an anti fungal cream or use betadine periodically as a shell rot preventative? It seems like they are the most prone to getting it, since your most likely keeping them inside, in very humid conditions, and (mine at least) sleep the majority of the day in the same place.

I don't. If it develops, I treat it, otherwise I leave them to their own devices.

Oddly, for a species that lives in such wet places, there is something about our typical substrates that seems to cause problems for lots of us. Setting things up for a dry surface seems to help.
