Is this shell rot? What do I do for it? Russian tortoise, I purchased him from a private seller, I didn't know exactly what to look for, but have noticed the shell on the bottom peeling, is that normal? Down by his tail. He is eating, drinking seems to be healthy. I sun him outside, shade, hide provided, water soaked and brush him 2 X so far. I feel as though I rescued him from previous owner.
