Hello. I've been reading about MBD, and it causes me to worry about the shape of my torts shell. All the other torts I see the shell is more rounded, his shell seems to be more elongated and higher in the back. I was wondering if that sounds normal or could it possibly be mbd?

No expert here, but that looks like a picture perfect shell.

MBD in a sulcata usually shows up as a dip over each hip. A dippy hip. Dip, dip, dip, hip, hip, hip! Hippity dippity. Sorry...I guess I need to get out more.

I have never really compared sulcata male/female shell shapes, but in some other species, males and females have different shapes.

Your tortoise looks fine. If he's getting sunshine and a remotely decent diet, he does not have MBD.

A profile shot would be a better way to show this too.
