Shell seems lumpy compared to others I’ve seen. He is fed well based on diets recommended. I use coconut coir which I spray often and use correct heat lamp. But his shell still seems lumpy... is this normal? Thanks

Yes, it's normal for a tortoise that's being kept too dry. I like to use orchid bark, and I keep it a bit moist underneath, with the light drying out the top layer so he's not sitting on moist substrate all the time. Maybe if you raise your light a bit? Try covering the enclosure and raising the light so he gets more benefit from the moisture in the enclosure. But, not to worry. He's a beautiful little Russian and he looks great.
