Shrinking tortoise?

Last time I weighed Carl he was 6.1 centimeters and today, 3 weeks later, he is 5.9... At first I would assume that maybe I just measured wrong.

But then I also thought... For a while there Carl had a flare to his back scutes... Now that he's started gaining weight that flare is gone.

Would that account for the magical shrinking?

I would think so. Or you measured wrong. It's one of the two.

Kinda sounds as though you may want to take an aerial pic of him each time you measure him...this way you can be certain you are measuring the same way each time...as well as be certain of changes to the shell, which is not unusual...
