For a Russian tortoise, when you soak them, I usually soak every other day (maybe every couple days); do you warm the water? Also, how long do you leave them soaking?

Yes use warm water for 20-30 min. I usually soak him inside his enclosure so the water stays warm

10 minutes is enough. An hour isn't too much. I usually soak them for about 30-40 minutes.

Water temp should be 85-95.

I rescued a severely dehydrated and underweight hingeback, and at the advice of some experienced keepers I did really lengthy soaks with my guy... like 4-6 hours. It seems to have worked, as he healthy and putting on weight now.
