I planted a mix of grasses for my new enclosure but was wondering if I have to use a certain kind of dirt for him to be able to graze on it?

Also no vermiculite or perlite in the soil. They are not digestible.

I already planted them and I have nooo idea what is in the soil! I know that it had plant food in it. I figure he can't eat it (which sucks!) but, from your experience....is that bad??

Hi...I suggest you gently turn the plant pots over while holding the stem, & dump everything out. Gently knock off as much dirt as you can. Then gently run the garden hose over the roots to get as much of the rest of the dirt off that you can. Replant it with organic soil, and water the plant generously. Don't feed him any of the plant for about 4 months so most of the nutrients from the fertilized soil are gone.
Good luck
