[split] soft shell

hi i was wondering my california desert tourtise is about 7 months old and his shell seems to be sorta soft is this normal

Tortoises need sunshine plus calcium in order to make their bones and shells hard and healthy. If the weather isn't good enough to put the tortoise in the sun, then you have to buy an expensive UVB light, which will provide the UVB required to make vitamin d3 to make the calcium work.

hi everybody my tortoise is about 7months he/she has a sorta soft shell is this normal i did not notice this when i first got him [2 weeks] it seems to be getting a little softer today :tort::tort::tort::tort:
