I've read in countless threads and care sheets... (attempting to determine mine as well) But as a hatchling, their carapace and patterns are almost identical and hence difficult to determine unless you know their parents. The Indian Star Tort under belly (I think carapace.. not sure) of a hatchling looks like a sri lankan. Very deceiving. I was convinced that mine was a Sri Lankan (although the parents are Indian) because of the carapace. Until I read the above somewhere in a care sheet.
So you'll just have to wait and see. Much like their sex. Have no idea until they are adults. Good Luck!
Btw which are you hoping they would be? they are darlings none the less a bit bumpy tho.. is that considered as early signs of pyramiding? (I'm still new at Torts in general)
