Every year, turtles fall into this ditch that runs through the neighborhood. The neighborhood lake has a dam that the turtles often fall in and get swept away down a rocky stream. Some of them get trapped and some are wounded to the point they can't return to the wild. Luckily this little male eastern river cooter is in tip top shape and will be returned to the lake.
