Hello all! I recently change my lighting in my enclosure thus having to move everything around. I did thus so I could put glass on top of my screen to increase humidity. Lights inside didn't work out as planned, wood was getting too hot.. I changed the lights back mostly to the way they were before. My humidity is only in the 50% on average, 80% immediately after misting. Any help on how to increase to a constant humidity would be greatly appreciated!
PS.. I made that humidifier set up. It is on a timer to run 30 minutes every 4 hours on very low setting.
Any light suggestions welcome also p p p

Is that your basking light in the silver fixture?
You could cover the mesh area with aluminum foil. Cut out a hole for the light to sit on.

Or make a framework with a bar running above the enclosure. Hang plastic sheeting, maybe a shower curtain, over the entire enclosure. You can make the frame with PVC pipe and fittings or wood.
Kind of like this...

Not very attractive, but it works.

I have tried foil and it only increases my humidity by 3-4%. I currently have a glass top on 3/4 of the opening.

Greetings. Looking at your picture No 3, it appears that you have major gaps all around those boards, maybe between all the boards? Theres no way you can trap humid air with so many gaps. Get some silicone and fill those gaps.

You need WET substrate. Pour a pitcherful over the substrate and mix it up with your hands. The light dries out the top layer but it stays moist underneath.
