I live on a large part of land where I have many different kinds of Opuntia. Are ALL Opuntia edible for my sulcatas? And if not, what kinds shall I avoid? And can they eat Opuntia with large needles? They are full grown adults, not hatchlings.

I choose to despine mine, but I have seen Russians, CDTs, galops and radiateds eat them with full spines. Appeared to be no problem in every case. I imagine a sulcata would be fine too.

I only have the cactus pads that produce the pears. With that said our 120lb sulcata and 3 CDT's all eat them with their fine hair like spines without issue
