Ok I might just be going crazy but I thought I was searching one time and found pics of sulcatas in the snow, they wondered out of the heat box and into the snow for a little but now I can't find it or did I just dream this up like the purple unicorn ?

Yeah people that love on the color areas where it snows, will have sulcata grazing on what they can even with snow on the ground. You are right they have heat hides for them to retreat in and go out when warm enough and I'm sure it's not for very long .

If a Unicorn shat in the woods, would anyone smell it?

Hahahah

Sorry, I'm having a really bad evening and feeling a bit "punchy" from it.
(Hit a deer, smashed new car, picked up a new tort for me, allegedly healthy, she's a mess...I'm not a happy camper...but this thread....cheered me up!)

I've been researching my butt off trying to learn everything I can about housing large torts (Sullies and Aldabra) over winter, how they handle It, so this is great! From what I gather, as long as they can retreat and warm up, they will venture into very cold and harsh conditions. They are very hardy. Love them so much. Good thing, as I have three!!!!!
