Sulcata sheading?

I noticed the skin only sulcatas neck is coming off, is this normal? I've never heard of tortoises sheading?

None of mine do that. It can happen when they get too dry, and then get rehydrated. Its a sign that somebody somewhere did something wrong.

House your tortoise the best you can, and it will sort itself out.

I soak him at least 30 minutes a day, humidity is at 75% that's the highest I can keep it, every other resource says it's normal. I dont mean to be rude but I dont appreciate being told I'm doing it wrong when all I'm doing is following the advice all of you have given me.

I didn't say you were doing it wrong. I said "somebody somewhere" did something wrong. My guess is the breeder, but not enough info to make that call.

If the breeder started them too dry, which almost all of them do, and then you started housing the baby correctly, then it would account for this.

Also the humidity needs to be higher. If you can't get it above 75%, then you ARE doing something wrong.
