so glad for the happy ending. The possibilities were Charlie was down in the burrow either alive or the unthinkable. Or somewhere else. RV has pulled this trick when she was younger. We couldn't find her and got frantic. this was before the burrow. We ended up crawling all over the yard on our hands and knees, parting the grass. We finally found her dug into the edge of a tree moat. Fairly deep. She wasn't happy about coming in..

I'm relieved for you, Charlie is going to be fine. No more adventures.

Do you have pictures of your errant tort?

I lose ours quite a bit, look for hours and days. Then just see moving across the yard one day.

what an adventure. It amazes me how these torts can disappear. My deserts hide the best, especially when they sneak into the house and hide under the bed.
