I just wanted to thank you all for your help and advice! After 2 weeks and many versions of his enclosure, my little guy is finally exploring and eating! My kids and I were so excited to see him walking around and sun bathing this weekend. I am so grateful to all of you on this forum, I wouldn't have had a clue what to do without your replies and all of the info and experiences shared here. You all are awesome. Thank you!!!

very nice! he can easily climb over the wall make it around 8 inches taller.

Thank you @russian/sulcata/tortoise ! I have a 15" plastic barrier around the whole balcony, so if (when) he climbs out of his enclosure, he'll still be safe.
