Does any1 has a preference as to what heat and humidity thermometer they use? I have purchased one but unsure as to weather it is working correctly as it says a different temp as to what the heat sensor says.

I don't really have a brand preference, I determine what I use depnding on the application.

For examle, in my Redfoot's winter accomodations, a shed in the back yard, I use a weather station with 2 sensors so I can monitor the temp from inside.

For incubators or indoor enclosures I use cheap $7 thermos that register temp, humidity, and daily min/max. I find these work just as well as anything.

If you suspect your thermo is wrong, get another one and put it in the same location and compare the two.

Hope this helps.

I've been very satisfied for many years with Springfield model 91551 digital thermometer/hygrometers. I have over a dozen of them in service in the tortoise room and incubators at any given time and they have always worked well. They sell for anywhere from about $9-14 each depending upon where you buy them.
