i have half under plexi glass, and i put the humidiity meter at ground level on that side and it reads from 70 to 80% but that is only on the right side of her enclosure...should i have it throughout?
well i had it fully closed with the plexi glass, but it was getting way to hot in there, so idk what i should do. i know i will be getting a new enlcosure for christmas (a glass one) so that will help alot
You could try using something like landscaping cloth, or a cheap plastic window screen with thick mesh material on the top of the enclosure. Either would trap moisture, but the mesh could allow heat to escape.
Also, a trick I use to keep up humidity is to bury a water dish to where the top edge of the dish is a couple inches below the top of the substrate. Then I just pour water in its general area to allow the dish to collect a little water.
