I've noticed lately that so many of the thumbnails open HUGE when clicked. They're so big that I can only see about a quarter of the picture on the screen. And when I scroll the picture over up and down you lose the perspective and can't really tell what you're looking at.

Is this my computer (a PC) or is it something that is new with all the smart phones, etc.

Hmmm, when you click does it open a new page that is just the image? Or does it enlarge the image within the existing page? This might just be a browser setting. Which browser are you using these days, Yvonne?

I'm using Google Chrome and when I click on the thumbnail it opens a new tab/attachment. I haven't made any changes to my computer or its settings for a very long time, but this huge picture thingey is new since about a week or so ago.

Here is Will's thread and I'm taking a screenshot of his very first thumbnail:

It took about a minute and a half for this large screenshot picture to load in photobucket.

As you can see, only about a quarter of the picture is 'viewable.'

Try using CTRL and - or + to zoom in and out...? Maybe that will help

I don't use Chrome for regular browsing but when I just tried it, it auto-resized the pictures to fit my screen. Do you have any extensions installed? I think using 'Incognito mode' disables extensions so you might try using it to see if one of your extensions is causing the problems.

I think I am in incognito mode, however, I also did use control/+ to increase the size of the font to aid my old eyeballs. I just did control/- on Will's picture, and it just took one click to get the picture down to screen size. So I guess making everything bigger so I can read it easier is why my pictures are all of a sudden bigger. That was good detective work, Josh. Thanks. And thanks to Cameron too. I'll go back to my controls and see if I'm incognito.

So it seems as though you had previously zoomed in to increase text size?

If you go to settings, you can adjust the font size. It doesn't work on all sites (changing it didn't change the forums text size for me). But you can click on 'customize fonts' and change the minimum font size and that did work on the forum.
