An adorable tort! GOD bless.

Sorry cannot help much, but you could read the "Beginners Mistakes Thread."

And a warm welcome to the forum!

As long as your tort is eating, drinking, and pooping, he'll be fine... Enjoy him while he is small! Occasionally, there will be a tortoise that grows extra slow. I got my tortoise when she was a couple years old and she is extremely small for her age, but she grows everyday thanks to a healthy diet consisting of leafy greens and vegetables :) She gets a small amount of fruit as a treat also. Keep doing what you're doing! You have nothing to worry about as long as you're doing your best and I can tell you are :)

when i adopted Peanut from a pet shop that kept her in a dry enclosure, she was 11 months old and only weighed 140 grams. I am happy to say now at 19 months she is 596 grams (1 pound 5 ounces). I would weigh her once a week when she was a "baby" and her weight would go up and down 2 grams or so, which for her was 1-2% of her total body weight. At age 1 year, her weight started to jump up nicely, gaining about 9-10% a month, but she did not hit 1 pound until she was 18 months old. She is active, curious, busy, and a good eater, so i did not worry about the small ups and downs. peanut7-18.jpg peanut7-18-2.jpg
