As you can see, Toby has a very unique shell. It is unknown to me or the rescue I got him from whether it was the way he was born, with some split scutes, or, what it seems more like due to the way it is shaped and the indents are, a prior traumatic shell injury.
Toby is now 7, and has had no further pyramiding since he was given to the shelter around 7 months ago, and never will again with me.
Personally, I find his unique shell to be stunning.
