Torie on the beach!

[Maggie and Torie the Tort]

Decided to walk the 30 feet from my deck to the beach to get a few pics of my (Hermanns) tortoise tonight as the sun set.

I have heard that sand causes impactions when ingested and gets all caught in them also, but I'm not sure that's what I read on here, other than that very beautiful pictures I love nature shots

also a lot of bacteria on a beach, so be carefull. also of any birds that might be faster then you...

Lovely pictures, but I agree with the others. Sand causes impaction in the gut if it gets eaten by accident. The salt levels in the sand, sea water and even the plants growing by the sea are far too high for your tort as well.

Your tort is not a sea creature, nor is it a dog, it will be happier, healthier and less stressed left in its own enclosure while you go out to enjoy your day.

No worries we where only out there for about two minutes at the most, and torie was on the Sand for about ten seconds of that time.
