i've had my DT for almost a year now. i got a bearded dragon a few days ago. the way they are set up, they can see eachother. would this be stressful, or bad for my tortoise?

If they are approximately the same size, no problem. A large lizard would be seen as a predator but similar often share shelter in wild. My torts pay no attention to my bluetongues and milksnakes and vice-versa.

You are more apt to cause stress for your dragon. You might want to put a sight barrier between them. The stress could make your dragon not want to eat.
Good luck

What size is your Dragon?

My only concerns is that different animals have different dieases.

Most people won't keep different types of tortoises together.

Your tortoise will probably eat dragon's droppings.

Hi Soundwave: I think you misunderstood. They are in two separate habitats, but they can see each other.

Hello James ~

I once had my tortie in view of my dragon, and they were both approx. the same size ~ the dragon was fine, but the tortie slowed waaay down on his eating and movements.. even after I moved him to another part of the house, he still seemed stressed for a while.

I would imagine it depends on the temperment of both animals; you can always give it a try, keeping a close eyeball on their habits ~

Bestst wishes ~

i was at a zoo the other day and they had a sulcata/iguana exibit where both were living together. they had a little tree for the large iguana's but neither seemed to mind eachother
