Ok I want to disinfect my tortoise enclosure it's made of wood. Is Lysol safe if I used it at night kept tort out of the enclosure for the night. Or am I better with a bleach and water solution?

I use bleach and water, rinse well, then allow the tub/whatever to sit in the sun all day long. The sun does wonders for killing off little no-see-ums, and dissipating the bleach.

Vinegar water and sunshine are amazing disinfectants.

Accelerated hydrogen peroxide. Peroxiguard is the brand I use or Prevention. Stuff even kills parvo. And it totally safe, it is the only thing I will use around my animals, especially birds. You can only find it at vet clinics, probably 100$ for a huge jug, but its concentrated and you dilute like crazy. Well worth the buy!! I couldn't have reptiles, aves and rehab wildlife without this product. You can find it cheaper at some equine tack stores, as they now have shampoo with it which works AMAZING fyi for any riders in the forum :) 50$ vs 100$, gets my buy!!
