Tortoise House Help Please

I just got my first tortoise. He is an adult male marginated tortoise. He needs a house. I have a large dog igloo that I can use for now, but with it being so large I'm not sure if this will be a good long term solution. We are going to try building him a new house this week. What are some things I want to make sure to include. I'm thinking we will want to have a roof that we can lift up. Should I make it insulated? If so, what do you recommend. Thank you.

Look for member Tom night box threads in the enclosure of sulcata section. You don't have to bury it into the ground, but I would make it the same maybe a little smaller for those cold nights you get, if you get them. You can also just bring him inside at night.

You could use foam insulation and get a panel heater if you want; kind of like they do with chicken coops.
