Hello everyone. I just wanted to mention what I found today. We all love Turtle & Tortoise decorations...today at K MART in their garden center part of the store there were Very Large Tortoise statues. They may have been galapagos inspired (not sure if it's meant to be anyway), but large about 2-4 feet long and very heavy. I mention this cuz I know people like to decorate their yards/gardens. They were about $69.99 I know it is expensive, but if you see how large and heavy they are...I think it is worth it. They are kind've the size of a real adult Sulcata!! My K Mart is in Altoona PA, but I didn't know if this could help others find them in their stores.

Good Luck!!:D

I got a similar tort figure for my birthday a couple months back. Not sure where it was bought though. It is sitting in my bedroom lol since we don't have a good place to put it (no yard).

at www.uncommongoods.com a guy sells old army helmets that he turns into garden turtles or ladybugs.... they're SUPER cute (and eco friendly) but rather expensive for a garden decoration... i'm still waiting on my husband to forgive me for moswen before i ask to get one of these... lol!

How come I am following all these links and have not yet seen a picture of this giant tortoise statue?

Is this just another April Fool's joke that I missed?

Wow $374! Is it real big? Very nice detail. The one I saw at K Mart wasn't painted that nicely. Sorry I couldn't include photo when I made original post...I don't have a camera phone. But that pic from Home Depot...I really like the that one better. The one at K Mart looked kinda rustic...know what I mean? I might still get the one at K Mart. I think if I told the hubby I want the one from Depot he'll be like "okay"...then he'll ask "how much is it"...and then he will spaz when I tell him. Ya know this sounds bad, but my house is close to the road and we've had things stolen and I know someone would snatch it. I wish my house was kinda secluded...it's sad to say you can't trust your neighborhood!!

Dang. It looks a bit like Littlefoot, but not "tortoise-y" enough for me to shell out that kind of money!

It would be fun for someone who has a toddler to "ride" it! ;)
