Tortoise trying to hibernate

Hi,

No matter what we do our tortoise keeps trying to hibernate. Someone who was looking after him broke the timer and he didn’t have UV or heat for 3 days, we think he’s now trying to hibernate.

Is there anything we can do to stop him wanting to hibernate? We wake him up each morning, bathe him and feed him a lot but it won’t make him stay up longer.

We’ve got a special UVB light and a heat lamp too

Spur thighed
2 years old
35 degrees basking temp and 18-20 at night.
I’ve attached a recent picture but we now have a UVB lamp rather than a heat/UV combined lamp based on this forums recommendation.

We think his mind has switched to trying to hibernate given the lamp wasn’t working for a couple of days.

We’re trying to get him to stop trying to hibernate!
