Quick question, how long did it take your torts to settle in their new homes? Please specify whether he/she was shipped or bought in person.

This information would really help as my tort I think is still settling in. :)

My tort was purchased from Petsmart( rookie error in judgement) and only took a few days to settle in. Yours will be fine too:)

Found our Russian on the street, then left her in a bathroom overnight, not knowing what to do. It didn't take long to decide she'd be better off outside.

Once there, she paced our yard for several days, which is typical but freaked me out, since I didn't know it at the time.

She'd clearly been interacting with people previously; she didn't have many issues with us. So about five days, I'd say.

We had issues later figuring out what she was doing in the fall, before hibernation, and then again in the spring, when she wanted to be out in the rain. So a year and a half for us to calm down, compared to her five days. :)

My Russian took about three weeks to settle in and eat daily. I bought him from a pet store.
