So just moved my sulcata, Rex, to his new enclosure about a week ago. So far he really hasn’t came out of his night box, other than me taking him out.
I’m worried he isn’t coming out and eating, so I have been taking him out and putting him in the grass. Once out he will eat and stroll around and eventually go back in his night box. I changed his black weather flaps to clear thinking he didn’t realize it was daylight outside.
The temps outside have been 65-80s the past week or so for the highs
His enclosure temps are 80 ambient, with a hot spot of 95, should I up the temps.
Or should I just leave him alone for a few days and let him adjust

You will get a couple different answers most likely.
If he were mine I would get him out every day except I would try to get him to walk out even if I had to push him and not pick him up.

I agree. Don’t be to violent, but urge him to go outside, even if it means pushing.

This morning I checked on Rex and watered his grass. I put a squash a few feet from the entrance of his night box. Hopefully he will see it and it will motivate him to come out on his own.
I will be glad to see a missing squash this afternoon
