Trying out my new camera...

Got a new camera for Christmas. It's an upgrade from my last one, but I only intend on using it for six months before I get my first ever DSLR (yay!), so I've got to get plenty of use out of this one!

HD cameras - no more flattering for tortoises than they are for humans...

It takes nice close-ups. Mine always turn out blurry.

Yeah. My old one was pretty good for close-ups, too, but this one's got much more detail in the images. Emrys is always hard to get pictures of, though - doesn't like posing.

Ian and I have both commented on how this new camera 'really brings out his pyramiding'. It's like the newsreaders on HDTV with their blotchy skin!

He's had that for about a year, and I've caught him pushing it around three times. Mostly, it gets ignored.

My fiance did buy it as a multi-purpose gift, though. We figure when he's older and gets to a sexually active age (can't imagine he's far off) it's going to be a better choice for taking out frustrations than a solid rock or his hide. See, aren't we thoughtful?
