Looking great, I love the "swimming" pictures, I call it the "superman" haha. My russians do that too, I always associate it with the tort being comfortable with the surroundings.
I don't think many torts like to stay in soak tubs, all 5 of mine scramble to get out once they have had their drink of water haha. The movement is good though, it gets things moving inside them and helps them go to the bathroom. As for not sleeping in the hide I wouldn't worry sometimes mine pick in their hides other times out in the open, if you really want him to use the hide, try putting him into it after his light goes off every night, after a couple of nights he will get it on his own.

Please correct me if I am wrong since I don't own a sulcata right now but I thought the word around this forum was to keep their humidity around 80%+ while a baby to help promote smooth growth? I say this because I noticed your picture says 63% and I am curious now.
One side is lower than the other due to the heat light...other side is 74...I dont let it get to 80 because it causes my chamber to become way too damp....
80% is preferred but in reality, and ive done tons of research before getting him 50-90% is ok...nothing less, not much more...The humidity will climb on that side up to 70-74% as well at night while light is off.I took that pic right after light went off...

Everything looks nice, and a cute tort to boot! The only thing Cooper would ever sleep in as a baby was a cardboard box. And still today if there is a box sitting close by, he will walk up to it and face it and normally go to sleep by it. It cracks me up, like a kid with a blanky or a stuffed animal. lol!
