Recently my common musk turtle (sternotherus odoratus) has been blowing bubble under the water, is the a bad thing or a sign of sickness?

Does he do this regularly? Does he do this immediately upon taking a breath at the surface? Does he blow bubbles when out of the water? A foamy discharge from the mouth can often indicate a respiratory infection. However, this is rare in musk turtles. Does he still maintain an appetite? If he does still maintain an appetite and you don't witness any foamy discharge from the mouth or nose when he's out of water, there is, in all likelihood, nothing wrong.

Only under water or at the surface too when taking a breath of air?
