I don't know if this will be moved or not, but since it's rather general, I thought it'd be cool to put in a turtle/tortoise name thread. Here are some tortoise/turtle names I like. This thread can help any new turtle/tortoise owners who are completely stumped on names!:

Girls:
Ginny, Bella (that way you can call her Shella-Bella) & Stella

Boys:
Leonardo, Orlando, Phelps, Yoda (little and green!) & Peanut

What are your favorite turtle/tortoise names?

After watching the equestrian events in the London Olympics, I thought it would be fun to "google" the names of famous racehorses! It's silly to name a tort after a race horse, but silly is GOOD! :) Go, Seabiscuit!!!

I'm new here, adopted 2 male box turtles a couple years ago and named them Jose (3 toed) and Nom Chompsky (Western Ornate). Noms was almost dead when I got him, years of malnutrition and improper lighting...but he's doing well with a higher protein diet and full spectrum bulb. Jose has had some health and mental issues to deal with but is finally "coming out of his shell" :) A friend of mine has a girl boxie named Myrtle.
