I have a 6.5 month old 5.5" 490g sulcata. This summer was awesome, lots of sunshine, exercise, nutrition, etc. Outdoor enclosure is 8x8 and protected and works great but winter is coming. Next summer Stump will have a 4'x4' scaled down timber frame house in the back yard to use during the day with a larger 32'x32' landscaped backyard enclosure with a soaking pool. No problems there.
I'm looking for the ultimate lighting rig for UV during the winter months in his room and suggestion on what UV meter to buy. In the wild I read that they are often in a burrow which is dark. His muggy as hell box (80-95% humidity -w- cypress mulch and 86deg constant) is dark as well. That's where (s)he loves to go when not exploring or grazing outside.
I want to simulate a nice day in a 16'x12' dedicated room from a heat and UV perspective when (s)he emerges from the box to eat, graze, etc.
Thanks in advance.
