hi every one sparky had not passed any in over a month. then today he passed some most seemed gritty and some came out like a pebble along with a fair amount of pee. i know he is well hydrated as he gets a soak every other day and has water available all the time. also he didn't eat much yesterday not sure if that was a coincidence or not. he ate right afterwards. i do sprinkle calcium dust on his food a couple times a week. did i do some thing wrong or is it a common thing? a couple pics if it helps. 100_5453.JPG 100_5454.JPG

How often do you feed calcium and how much?

he gets soaked every other day and has water available all the time so can get a soak if he wants. i use stuff called calci dust by pro rep. i pinch it between finger and thumb and sprinkle it over like u would salt on fries. 2-3 times aweek, he also has cuttle fish bone in his enclosure but i've never seen him use it. u think i've been using too much calci dust? i'll up the soaks to daily. its the first time he's passed it looking like this. it normally has the consistency of cream cheese. its the first time he has passed any in a month or so. thanks for the replies

The hard urates might just be leftovers that he was holding onto from before you got him. The creamy urates is the consistency you're looking for. I'm sure from now on it will be the correct consistency.

Hard urates are a sign of dehydration, calcium has no effect. 2 soaks a day for a while should help a lot, even with a water dish available I would still soak with these looking like this.
