Water dish

Ok so I'm seeming to be having some issues. My tortoises arnt drinking on their own. They have a water dish but they never go near it. Ever other day I put them in it to be like here it is. And they drink then avoid it till I put them back in. They also have trouble getting in and out of it. Any ideas y they avoid it? Also suggestions on what to use for a water dish?

A clay flower pot saucer is the best. You can also get them in the lighter plastic. If they have trouble getting out, add some flatter rocks to the dish. My leopard is over two and I have only seen him drink maybe five times. However, I'm sure he drinks when I'm not looking. Just keep doing what your doing and they are also probably drinking when your not looking.

Soak em twice a day 30 minute the 1st time 15 the 2nd do this for two weeks straight then you'll see the behavior adjust and use the saucer according to enclosure and pet size.

Thanks I got them the flower pot things. They seem to get in and out easy. They also got a new hide log. They kinda avoid it like the plague haha they will get used to it
