Say now, that is a great feature.Another killer-feature - double-glazed glass. So almost no condensate on the glass doors.

I like AP and have a bunch of their enclosures. There are two problems. The wait time for one of their enclosures is several months at best. I waited over a year one time. The other issue is that once you finally receive your AP enclosure, then you have to find, buy, and install all of the heating and lighting equipment yourself.Mine is an animal plastics enclosure. They are also nice enclosures and great people to deal with. Marks enclosures look top notch from the pictures. I like the double wall design and the flush mounted lights.
What is the biggest enclosure Mark makes? It's getting about time to get Mojo a bigger enclosure.I like AP and have a bunch of their enclosures. There are two problems. Mark's Smart Enclosures come much sooner. In some cases on a couple of weeks for delivery, sometimes a little longer, but nothing like AP. All of the heating and lighting and thermostats and all that stuff is already professionally installed and ready for action when you buy one of Mark's enclosures. It's much cheaper this way, and the finished product from Mark looks better and functions better than anything I've done myself. The guy is a genius and the whole enclosure and the way it is set up and designed is genius. It is truly the perfect tortoise life support system.
The base is 4x3 feet. The "expansion pack" is another 4x3 feet, making it 8x3 feet. I'd ask Mark, but I think you could add another expansion pack and have 12x3 feet. What is the biggest enclosure Mark makes? It's getting about time to get Mojo a bigger enclosure.
The most popular size I sell is 48 x 36. The next most popular is the 48 x 36 plus the expansion unit which is also 48 x 36 to make the 96 x 36 enclosure. You can indeed add a second expansion unit if desired to make a 144 x 36 - but I have not sold one set up to that size to date. So far everyone has found the 96 x 36 ample size / or have outdoor enclosure to supplement warmer weather living. What is the biggest enclosure Mark makes? My Facebook page is Smart Tortoise Keeper. If interested - email is best so I can respond with a complete info sheet and pricing. [email protected] I do have many orders on hand right now - wait time is about 4-6 weeks.
If you have redfoots you can keep expanding enclosures for a few years. But yes essentially. So, people who use these for other than, say, Russians or maybe Herman's, these are just used for babies?
All species of tortoises. I raise Galapagos in them their first year. The second year it becomes more of a nighttime/winter enclosure with days outdoors when weather is good and until they move outdoors full time. I did design these to create the perfect environment for raising babies. To be able to control heat, humidity and lighting easily and to the exact parameters any species needs. So for the larger species it is mostly to give a baby a perfect start its first few years as outdoor enclosures are suited for adults. Many do still use the enclosure as a great enclosure for inclement weather for them. However it is certainly the best permanent housing for Egyptians, Spider, Hermann's, Russians, Pancakes - all the smaller species. Many are using double enclosures for many of the medium sized species as permanent enclosure as well. Smart Enclosures are also being used for snakes, lizards and frogs. So, people who use these for other than, say, Russians or maybe Herman's, these are just used for babies?
Mark answered, but my mom started her Burmese star in one, and then he grew large enough to live outside full time. Now she has her blue tongue skink in it.So, people who use these for other than, say, Russians or maybe Herman's, these are just used for babies?
