The first picture is all edible. I think it's prickly lettuce, not 100% bit my tortoise loves it

Thanks, Blake! With the amount of those in my yard right now, my tort should be fed for at least a month!

You're lucky! Just make sure they haven't been sprayed or that a bug guy hasn't come! I wish I had more of those in my yard. I do have a bunch of. Common mallow and filaree at least.

The first one is sowthistle, second is mallow. Both perfect for torts.

Hi don't know if you've seen this yet but in addition to the fantastic wealth of knowledge members here have about plants www.thetortoisetable.org.uk is good for checking which plants are tort safe.
They have lots of pictures to ID them (but much easier if you have names first).
There is also another website I can't remember the name of it at the moment but if you send them a pic of a plant they will ID it for you - I believe it takes a while for them to get back to you though.
It's great when you find new food right in your garden isn't it?

That is sowthistle 100%. Prickly letuce has stiffer leaf stems and is full of tiny spikes. And the green colour is much lighter than at your pic.
