...for now I let them both roam around the backyard with supervision.

I speak from experience when I tell you that you will eventually lose them if you continue doing this. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but eventually.

Its really easy to whip up an enclosure to contain them. Here are some easy ideas:

@Pearly That's what I use for my little tort, guess it wouldn't hurt to use for the bigger torts! I guess I'm just looking for something I can grow some greens inside their enclosures too. Does coconut fiber help with that?

Here are some greens growing in reptibark ! Just threw a handful of seeds in there and up they came ! ;)

Orchid bark alone is too porous for most plantS to root in except for things like orchids, bromeliads and any plants that grow air roots.
I started with coco coir and soil from my own garden just whatever I had brought in with the root balls of the plants I was planting in there. Tropical plants that require low light would do great I there if my babies didn't bulldoze all that's in their path:) but for little baby (for me it was my hatchlings' first year) you can plant a very pretty terrarium.

I second that! My Tucker was gone for 4 weeks this past winter! It was nothing short of a miracle that we had found him alive and in one piece

I had some fake edging stone pieces I plan to use at the new house in spring, so I threw them into a quick square for our trips outside. With two kids I know things come up and I don't want to worry about him wandering! Of course he's only out for about 40 minutes at a time so I usually can watch him consistently anyways. Of course my guy is smaller so the cheap fake edging might not work, but this was a $10 fix and took 5 mins to put together.

Woke up at 6am this morning prepping everything that I wanted done. My family was sweet enough to help me with everything and wow I still have lots to do! My next project to get done is building a heat box for the torts, I'm not completely sure on how to build one so if anyone has any easy ideas for me that would be helpful. But here is the before and after pics!
