Looks Great.

A week or so a go the wife hit Hobby lobby and got a few statues for the cages, a gnome, a couple turtles and a frog. I wasn't sure about them at first but now I like them, scarlet doesn't seem to care for the turtle she is always shoving it out of her basking area.

Ha thats funny. Mine just really like to climb and walk all over everything
I didn't put anything in their basking spot because I knew they would all just hate that :D i am a little afraid they might flip over but so far none of them have so I think I might be in the clear

:D Huge 50 gallon tubes I got from lowes and they were $20 dollars, one bag of Mosser Lee Sphagnum moss $4 dollars, plexiglass $15 dollars.
Basically 40$ lol its dimensions are 1.5 wide and 4 feet long.
Biggest mistake I made was I didn't cut the hole very well so they are different sizes and the plexiglass doesn't fix in them very well. I am going to fix that problem by using 1/2" long screws to screw 1x2x8 into the plastic around the hole to create like a frame that I can then caulk the seems with clear caulk and then use 1x2x8 to glue to plexiglass to to create a door frame to screw hinges into the make the front a door so you can stack them on top of one another and its almost impossible to screw through plexiglass without cracking it. And it will make the door fit into the frame better than just thin plexiglass.
That is what I am doing tomorrow. I absolutely love this idea , its cheap, its big, its waterproof, and its perfect for viewing. I will use these for a long time to keep my hatchlings in till they out grow it .

Or you could make a shed! You seem to be pretty handy. :p

The new digs are very colorful and decoray cray cray, indeed, lol. A bit busy for my more simplistic sensibilities, but I am sure the torts don't care and it must be pretty engaging and interesting to them, if anything is!

Just curious, since I am not as handy as you are, but do you think that instead of the hinge and the caulking and all of that, that perhaps some waterproof velcro would work?

I have a similar idea, re cutting a viewing window/access 'door' into Deedle's enclosure, and was wondering if that could work.

I might steal that one day , but I already bought the wood so I have to use it lol
I would prefer to use the velcro
