Hi guys! I have a Hermann tortoise here he is still a yearling I believe. But this morning when I was bathing him I found this on his beak. I’m not sure if this is good or not? Help please.. it’s like a piece of “skin”? I think there’s also some part under his nostrils too, I don’t see this a few days ago, so maybe he grew it out? For a harder beak? The beaks (both top and bottom) look perfectly normal to me. Exactly what is your concern?

That's just his lower beak. It grows as he grows. Nothing to worry about.

It’s my first time having a tortoise as a pet, maybe I’m just over thinking whenever there’s smth new happening, cause the hard part wasn’t there before so it got me worried for a sec, so it’s all good? It just means He is growing?

The hard part has always been there. You just didn't notice it until now.
