I have had this beautiful boy (guessing a boy) for a year now. He has graduated from several enclosures to his current 3' x 6' monster that takes up my entire den. He is much less timid and now enjoys head and neck rubs. Seems to recognize his name but that could just be my imagination :)

That is just a year? What are you feeding that thing? Ok, seriously, I have some that were 37 - 50 grams when I got them in July and they are now 200 grams. How big was yours at 7 months? I can't imagine my guys being that big in another 5 months!

Walter eats mostly grass and weeds from the yard. Every now and then I will buy chicory and carrots for a treat. He has literally exploded in growth in the last 3 months. He weighed in at 1lb at 9months and he gained another pound in 3 months. He is always hungry and luckily for him I have lots and lots of grass.

Here is a picture at 9 months:

Wow, that's a lot of growth. Once they hit that 1 lb. level they can really start to add weight. Are you ready?

We get questions from new sulcata keepers asking how fast they grow all the time. I'm glad you put the year in your subject line. It will be easy to find next time someone asks the question.

It is really big. My also grow fast but not as yours.

Good looking guy though. Can you show us the 3 X 6 indoor enclosure? That is huge for sure.

No, she said she's had him for a year. We don't know how old he is in the first picture.
