Lol I use the container of my spring mix to soak my Sullys :p good ways to save money and use what's available :)

That's awesome! Very creative. I'm sold -- why was I so stuck on using a plastic pet store dish??? I'll never know.

I'm going to move to the glazed terra-cotta dish now for food. I have quite a walk, so I need the lip so I don't spill the food :) or drop leaves everywhere. :) learn something new everyday...

I use small paper plates. You can buy a package of a 100 for less than $2.00 at the grocery store.

Mine started doing this too, I had a lot of slate laying around and my old house and brought some with me with I moved. He has a cuttle bone, but wants to bite the slate.

It's been a month now and Hemi is like a crazy happy tort for his food!! If I'm late getting it to him he pushes stuff out of his way looking for it!! He is completely different since I started using a low lid! I'm going to get slate in the spring and try it-- plus he's getting really big fresh food (not in a bag spring mix) and he loves it!! It's awesome to see him this active.

When I first joined this forum after bringing sick Hemi home I wasn't sure he'd be this active-- so happy he is :)!
