What IS the point .. ??

What is the point in taking my hermann Sparky outside for excellent fresh air and sun and UVB etc etc on a glorious day .. when he just goes into his pot or under his hide and sleeps all day?!

And I was so proud of him the other day .. a proper tortoise, dug down and half buried himself. I was well chuffed! Then he pooped today, bless him ...

The point of taking him outside is because he is still getting UVB even if he is in his pot.That photo of him is TOOOOO cute.

He is an independent little thing and I love him to bits but sometimes ... aaargh!

In time he should get more used to his outside area and hopefully come out and explore more depending on the weather and time of day. Remember we are talking tortoise time here, not human time...
