I was wondering if anyone knows what kind of plant this is. I've lived here for 15 yrs and never had this before,now all of a sudden it's starting to climb the dog fence.

What do the flowers look like, if you have seen then open up..

None of the flowers have opened yet. Never had this before. I have no idea where it came from.

That looks like bindweed to me. It's related to morning glories. The seeds of bindweed can remain viable for many years, just waiting for an opportunity to sprout. For people, edible in small amounts as it has a purgative effect. Not from experience, mind you.

Okay, I am unsureof what it is the flower would help with ID. Maybe some bird or other animal transplanted it with there poop...

Looks like morning glory type which is said to be poisonous. It is very invasive. I killed some growing on my property with roundup.

That's bindweed, all right! Not a good idea to let your torts munch on this stuff!
