What Should I Do?

Hi Everyone! My Tortoise Mr. Tibbs is almost 4 years old. He's pretty big (and heavy!) now. I recently built an outdoor enclosure and he seemed to be happy there. Recently with the weather change he was trying to burrow and now he sleeps a lot. Usually he's waiting for me to come home so he can eat. Should I just let him sleep? The enclosure has a door that I can close.. should that be closed or should I leave it open? Is he going to be needing water, and food or will he just continue to sleep? Should I wake him everyday? Not sure what I should be doing as he was an indoor tortoise before.

Where are you? What is the overnight low? Is the door to a chamber of some sort that is heated?

Pics might help.

I don't hibernate any tortoises. However, from my understanding of it, there is some preparation you need to do then to just let them be. Is that what you are thinking? Letting him just hibernate?
