What should I put under the substrate

Hi all
I am currently struggling with my baby Hermanns vivarium especially with the humidity. The humidity is way too low. I am thinking it is the substrate I am using so I ordered some coco coir to mix in with the one I am using currently but I need to make sure my Viv (wooden ) doesn’t rot so I am asking if anyone recommends anything I can put under the the substrate that is safe for my tortoise. Thank you

Is ground sheet (tarp) okay??

If I am understanding correctly...I lined my tort table (wood) with a shower curtain liner, stapled it in place then add the substrate

Tarp, plastic shower curtain, some use linoleum, tiles, all would work.

You can use a shower liner or pond liner.

Hi, I lined my enclosure with wood design sticky back plastic with a good 2" up the sides. I use orchid bark available from swell reptiles and I spritz with a plant.ant sprayer. Very easy to wipe down when I clear out the enclosure.

Does anyone one know what humidity % it should be for a 6 month old western Hermann as I am quite worried about it
